Greenland is located between the Arctic and Atlantic oceans, east of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, and is an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark. With its 2.175.600 square kilometers, it is the world’s largest island. Greenland has about 56,500 inhabitants, about 11% originate from Denmark and other countries. In 2022, it is estimated that 19,261 people live in Nuuk, the biggest city in Greenland. The largest income source of Greenland is fishing, which counts for approx. 85% of its total exports.
Bolna AS is a very small shareholder in the BANK of Greenland (Danish: GrønlandsBANKEN), the only local commercial bank on the island.
